The North Creek to Riverside Run departs from North Creek, and travels 8 miles along the upper stretches of the Hudson River, to the picturesque Riverside Station in Riparius NY. There the train drops passengers off for a short layover, and moves out of the station to reverse directions. As it does, visitors can relax in the park, shop at local craft and antique shops, stroll over the bridge crossing the Hudson River, and visit historic displays in the station. When the train returns to the station, passengers reboard and ride back to North Creek. Often, riders are surprised by Adirondack wildlife such as deer, turkeys, fox, beaver, wood ducks, and even the occasional bear or bald eagle. This leisurely ride is a total of 16 miles and 2 - 2½ hours round trip.
